The leader of the Croatian Party of Rights (HSP), Daniel Srb, said at a news conference in the coastal city of Zadar on Wednesday that Mirko Condic, a retired colonel and disabled war veteran, would be at the helm of the party's list in the 9th constituency in the forthcoming parliamentary elections.

Srb said the HSP would participate in the elections on its own and expected to win at least four seats in the parliament.

Commenting on post-election coalitions, HSP officials said that if government formation happened to depend on their party, they would choose partners depending on their political platforms, but on the condition that the Independent Democratic Serb Party (SDSS), a member of the incumbent coalition government, did not have the same political position it now had.

The 9th constituency covers the counties of Lika, Senj, Sibenik, and the northern parts of Split County.

The HSP, a right-wing party, currently has one deputy in parliament, its leader Srb.
