Excellent Jug continue series against Budva

Croatia’s three representatives in the water polo Euroleague hopped into the pool, Wednesday. Dubrovnik’s Jug outclassed their Montenegrin visitors, Budva, 10-6 (2-2, 4-1, 1-3, 3-0)

Jug continued their series in the first leg, second round of the second most reputable water polo competition, beating Adriatic League rivals, Budva.

The visiting side held on to a first quarter draw, but dropped form in the second to goals from Veselin Krivokapic who put Jug ahead 6-3 before halftime.

Budva put up a fight in the third quarter to come up just a goal under Jug, but the hosts kept a clean sheet in the fourth quarter and scored three for the final 10-6 score.

This was Jug’s seventh win in as many games in the Euroleague competition.

Goals for Jug came from Sukno (3), Sutic (3), Jokovic (2), Buslje (1) and Obradovic (1), while Nizic made nine saves. Budva’s top scorers were Paskovic and Danilovic with two goals each.
