The State Election Commission (DIP) has dismissed a complaint from the Croatian Pure Party of Rights (HCSP), which requested that the referendum on Croatia's accession to the European Union should be repeated at a polling station in Zagreb because of a serious breach by the polling committee.

The HCSP said that a lady that for some reason was unable to vote was told by a member of the polling committee that it did not matter because Croatia would become an EU member anyway.

The party said that the member of the polling committee thus spread propaganda for the pro-EU camp and prejudged the outcome of the referendum, which indicated that the referendum result was fabricated.

The DIP said that no irregularities had been found, rejecting the complaint as groundless.
