About 15 Croats, including Croatian Embassy staff from Cairo, arrived in Zagreb at 7 am on Tuesday after the Croatian Foreign Ministry organised their evacuation, the ministry told media.
The Croats arrived in Zagreb by bus from Vienna, where they were flown from Cairo.
Evacuated were all Croatian citizens in Egypt that wanted to be, the ministry said, adding the Croatian Embassy was following developments and that further evacuations would be organised if necessary.
There are Croatian tourists in Egypt as well, but they have declined to leave the country, since they are in resorts far from the conflict areas.
Tens of thousands of Egyptians have been protesting in the streets for days, demanding the resignation of President Hosni Mubarak after 30 years of authoritarian rule. Hundreds of people have been killed in protests and clashes with the army and the police.
