Prime Minister Zoran Milanovic reprimanded Agriculture Minister Tihomir Jakovina at a cabinet meeting on Wednesday that he had omitted to deal with some formalities in a company he owned and in this way gave the opposition and ill-intentional critics a chance to accuse him of conflict of interest.
Milanovic assessed though that in this case Minister Jakovina was not in conflict of interest but that he had made a mistake that should not have occurred. He urged cabinet to respect the law and that Jakovina should resolve the said situation as soon as possible.
Milanovic responded to Jakovina's critics that "they noticed the speck of sawdust in their brother's eye yet paid no attention to the plank in their own eyes".
