The SDP-led coalition won in four major areas of Zagreb - the centre and west Zagreb, east Zagreb, southeast and south Zagreb, and unlike at the last election, it won in the cities of Dubrovnik, Krapina, Karlovac, Slavonski Bord, Vukovar, Virovitica, Split, Sibenik and Zadar.

The SDP-led coalition won in Bjelovar, Cakovec, Koprivnica, Osijek, Pozega, Pula, Rijeka, Sisak and Velika Gorica, same as four years ago.

The SDP-led coalition also won in Varazdin and Pazin where four years ago the best results were generated by the Croatian People's party and the Istrian Democratic Assembly.
