Apart from the host, Rachlin, the festival will draw other chamber music greats such as Itamar Golan, Mischa Mayski, Boris Andrianov, Lawrence Power, Pavel Vernikov, Boris Kuschnir and many others, reporters were told on Tuesday.

Actors Roger Moore and John Malkovich will also take part in the event, and the Academy of St Martin in the Fields Chamber Orchestra will hold two concerts.

Apart from the works of Beethoven, Mendelssohn, Schumann, Mahler, Brahms, Vivaldi, Mozart, Shostakovich and others, the festival will also feature the works of Croatian President Ivo Josipovic, who will attend a performance of his "Mournful Song for Violin and Piano".
