About 150 farmers unhappy with the government's agricultural policy held one-day protest rallies at six locations in Vukovar-Srijem County, eastern Croatia, on Tuesday.
"This is a peaceful protest of warning, but unless we receive an invitation (for talks) from Prime Minister Milanovic, Finance Minister Linic and Agriculture Minister Jakovina by March 1, we will organise real protests," Croatian Farmers' Union leader Tomislav Pokrovac said.
Pokrovac said that the protesters were unhappy with the Farmland Bill and the government's failure to pay them incentives.
Farmers had announced on Monday that protests of warning would be staged every day in a different county, and on Wednesday they were to be held in Virovitica-Podravina County.
