International human rights organisation Amnesty International said on Friday it would present its report "Behind a Wall of Silence: Prosecution of War Crimes in Croatia" to European Union officials in Brussels next week.

In the report, released in December 2010, AI says that Croatia had failed to investigate allegations of the involvement of senior military and political officials in war crimes committed during its 1991-1995 war.

On February 1 and 2, an AI delegation is due to meet with EU officials directly involved in Croatia's EU accession negotiations and with officials from member states and the European Parliament.

AI will ask the EU officials to insist on their demands for the Croatian authorities to prosecute all war crimes committed during the 1991-1995 war, including those that allegedly involved senior officials, the organisation said in a statement.

AI said it would call for the payment of reparations to the victims and their families.
