Davor Bernardic won Sunday's run-off election for the head of the Zagreb branch of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Bernardic, a member of Parliament and former head of the SDP Youth Forum, received 63.3 percent of the votes and his rival Ivo Jelusic won 36.7 percent.
About 70 percent of a total of 5,326 SDP members in the Croatian capital went to the polls.
