The management of the Brodosplit shipyard and representatives of the three unions active there on Tuesday adopted a draft programme to provide for Brodosplit workers as part of the restructuring process, the Split-based dock said in a press release.

Under a supplement to the collective agreement, severance packages of HRK 4,000 per year of service for the first 20 years and HRK 1,500 for each additional year will be paid for more than 3,000 workers.

During the notice period, the employer will hire at least 1,500 workers permanently and 2,000-2,500 in total, with a tendency to hire even more.

The programme was sent to the Employment Service, which has eight days to take a position on it. The employer is expected to implement the programme in the first week of June.
