Vipnet, a leading private GSM operator in Croatia, on Monday formally took over B.net, a cable operator and provider of fixed telephony, Internet and television services in Croatia, following an approval from the Croatian Competition Agency (AZTN) for the Vipnet's acquisition of the 100% stake in B.net at the price of 93 million euros.

The takeover, which Vipnet has described as the biggest acquisition in the Croatian market, is the result of a contract signed in Austria in June by Vipnet and the Austrian concern BEWAG from Burgenland, the then majority owner of B.net.

Vipnet reported on Monday that this acquisition was strengthening its position of a leading market innovator on the Croatian market.

Vipnet also today presented new members of the managing and supervisory boards of B.net.
