Some 200 people gathered on Friday for a march of solidarity with striking journalists in the Vecernji List daily who insist on the preservation of a majority of their acquired rights and benefits.
Vecernji List strikers, reporters from other media companies and undergraduates from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences began the solidarity march outside the Croatian Journalists' Association headquarters at 1100 hrs Friday and they continued walking towards the headquarters of the Vecernji List newspaper, published by the Styria Media Group.
Vecernji List reporters commenced their strike on Wednesday in a protest against the management's decision to restrict their rights through the cancellation of the existing collective agreement.
