Perkovic, Vlasic, Gay win IAAF World Challenge Zagreb 2010

Sandra Perkovic, the European champion and Croatian record holder in the women's discus throw, won the IAAF World Challenge Zagreb 2010 meeting on Wednesday with a throw of 65.56 metres.

Perkovic was unable to better her Croatian record, but set a new Zagreb meeting record.

The world high jump champion Blanka Vlasic of Croatia won the meeting in her category by clearing 201 cm. Vlasic tried to jump 205 cm, but failed.

In the 100-metre sprint, Tyson Gay of the US came first with a result of 9.92. He failed to beat his best result of this season (9.78), but set a new meeting record.
