Marlies Schild wins her fourth Snow Queen Trophy

Austrian skier Marlies Schild on Tuesday won the women's World Cup slalom on Mount Sljeme overlooking Zagreb.

Schild won her fourth Snow Queen Trophy finishing the race 1.40 seconds ahead of Tina Maze of Slovenia, and 2.27 seconds faster than her compatriot Michaela Kirchgasser.

The slalom on Mt. Sljeme was this season's fifth World Cup slalom, and Schild won them all.

An audience of some 8,000 people watched the race.

About 20 TV stations from Europe, North America and Asia are covering the 8th Snow Queen Trophy events live, while footage, news and features will be broadcast in another 50 countries.

The men's slalom will be held on Thursday afternoon.
