Although it at first appeared as if Dinamo Executive President, Zdravko Mamić, would not have anything to tell the press, he shared his opinion with the press following the game with Timişoara, as well as the Ajax - Anderlecht match
New rules on press movement at Maksimir Stadium, instated immediately after Dinamo's home upset to Romanian side FC Timişoara, made it seem as if it would be difficult to get any comment from the otherwise wildly outspoken Zdravko Mamić. The Dinamo exec was eventually coaxed from his office, and made a brief statement:
"Not for a moment did I believe we would get through the group', said Mamić, clearly alluding to the Amsterdam game.
"I want to congratulate Kruno [Jurčić] and the boys for what they've shown, but I am terribly sorry that we did not win. We live off of those points and the money, and my impression would have been far better had Timişoara lost."
