Croatian President Ivo Josipovic attended in Moscow on Sunday a central celebration of the 65th anniversary of the Allies' victory over Nazi Germany, the Office of the President said in a statement.

Together with other heads of state from countries which won World War II, Josipovic attended a military parade in the city's Red Square, after which he attended a lunch hosted by Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.

On the margins of the Moscow event, Josipovic held a number of brief, informal meetings with European and other heads of state.

He held talks with Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliyev on possible cooperation in energy production and industry.

The two presidents agreed on forms of cooperation at the working level in preparations for future bilateral meetings, the office said in the statement.

Around 30 current and former heads of state and government attended the celebration in Moscow.
