The Turkish company Caliskan paid EUR 5 million into the accounts of the Croatian petrochemical companies Dioki and Dina Petrokemija on Wednesday, which enabled the payment of overdue salaries to their workers on Thursday, the Dioki management said in a statement on the Zagreb Stock Exchange.

Caliskan paid the agreed EUR 5 million for the purchase of Dioki's daughter company Adriaoil and the money will be used for the payment of overdue salaries for 850 workers of the Dioki Group which should have been paid by June 30, trade unions reported on Wednesday.

Thus, preconditions have been created for implementing a plan for the operational, financial and ownership restructuring of the Dioki Group, which paves the way for the resumption of production, the management said in the statement released on the ZSE.
