Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor on Wednesday arrived in Israel for an official visit and meetings with top Israeli officials.

Kosor is scheduled to visit the Yad Vashem Memorial Centre in Jerusalem and plant a tree to honor Croatian Righteous Among The Nations.

Righteous Among The Nations is the highest recognition used by the State of Israel to describe non-Jews who risked their lives during the Holocaust to save Jews from extermination by the Nazis.

After that, Kosor will hold talks with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on bilateral relations and the situation in the region and the world.

This evening, the Croatian PM is expected to attend a working dinner at which she will hold talks with Tzipi Livni, the leader of the main opposition party, Kadima.
