Croatian Prime Minister Jadranka Kosor met with her Serbian counterpart Mirko Cvetkovic in Belgrade on Friday.

Addressing a joint press conference after the talks, the two prime ministers expressed mutual support for the integration of Croatia and Serbia into the European Union and for the promotion of economic cooperation between the two countries.

They said that the economic cooperation between the two countries was constantly improving, but that there was still room for its further promotion, notably in the construction, food and automobile industries.

The meeting also focused on joint ventures on third markets and on issues relating to the border between the two countries and refugees.

Kosor said she had proposed to Cvetkovic organising a regional conference of justice ministers, prosecutors and legal experts to seek solutions to outstanding issues, such as war crimes indictments. She said she did not want cases such as that of Croatian war veteran Tihomir Purda to ever happen again, stressing that there was good will to avoid similar disputes in the future.
